Bigger and Better Tournament Structure For 2025
One good thing about Esports is that it is based on the viewer’s point of view and they get what they want. We will be experiencing some changes in the upcoming tournament structure for PUBG Mobile Esports 2025. There will be three major global events.

PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO)
- Will take place in March and April in Uzbekistan.
- The team will qualify through regional PMGO qualifications.
- Amateur teams will get a chance on the big stage.
World Championships (PMWC)
- Held in Riyadh, like the 2024 World Cup. This is in line with the Esports World Cup.
- The top teams from the PMSL Spring season will compete.
- Positioned as a mid-season spectacle.
Global Championship (PMGC)
- The crown jewel and most prestigious global event of PUBG Mobile Esports. Set for December in Thailand.
- The top teams from regional PMSL tournaments will compete for the title of Global Champion.


PMSL Expands to Five Regions
PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) was initially limited to only a few regions, PMSL it will now have five regions. This expansion comes primarily from an audience and player base perspective meaning teams from other regions will now have the opportunity to compete on the global stage. Please note that PMSL is the main qualification route for international events. This is a long format (events lasting 2-3 months) and only the most consistent and best teams will travel to PMGC.


The new region settings in PMSL 2025 are as follows:
- Southeast Asia
- Europe
- New MENA (Middle East and North Africa)
- CSA (Central and South Asia)

$10 Million Investment in Esports
PUBG Mobile announced a massive investment of $10 million for Esports events by 2025. This funding is distributed across prize pools across all major and regional tournaments, building infrastructure for the expansion of PMSL and LAN events. In addition, we will also have a content creation program. This includes initiatives such as PDP Design Competition with a $60,000 prize pool.
Global Partner Team


That Global Partner Team Program for PUBG Mobile it will continue in 2025. This program features 10 partner teams and they will be guaranteed a place in global events such as the PUBG Mobile Super League. However, the current team must undergo re-evaluation with new applicants to maintain a fair environment. Registration for the 2025 Global Partner Team program will open on December 1, 2024, and selection will be completed in February 2025.
Upcoming Regional Events
The 2025 Esports Circuit will host 20 regional tournaments. Across Southeast Asia, Europe, MENA, CSA and the Americas. It’s a great way to find top talent and get them into competitive battle royale games. Especially thanks to Ultimate Royale which has proven to be an entry level qualification for every player. The return of PMGO, now hosted in Uzbekistan, will also allow the top 500 Ultimate Royale players to bypass the initial qualifiers.
Benchmarking in Esports
Every year, we see something bigger and better from PUBG Mobile Esports. And 2025 is going to be a really big year. They are focusing on more events and some female-focused programs as well. This makes it clear their goal is to create a competitive Esports system where every player has the opportunity to prove himself.
